Good question. Go for the OAuth key, you can enter anything in the application details, key delivery is instant whatever you enter.

Choose "Web-based" in the "Kind of application" setting.
Choose "Public API's, Web Services" in "Access Scopes"

You can use the default YahooDemo key provided by Yahoo, they warn that it might reach its limit but I've never had that problem.

What Yahoo ID to enter in the setup of the plugin?

In developer.yahoo.com there is 4 types:
GENERAL ACCESS APPLICATIONS
OAUTH APPLICATIONS
OPEN APPLICATIONS
BROWSER-BASED AUTHENTICATION PROTECTED APPLICATIONS
